Housing Crisis

We offer a FREE Transition Home Service for new students at Lakehead University and Confederation College. This initiative aims to support both international and domestic students by providing temporary accommodation (for those who can not afford hotel costs) for up to 30 days, easing their transition into a new academic and social environment.

With two rooms available—one private and one shared—the service is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. While accommodation only is provided (no food included), Mendlife Canada's dedicated team is ready to assist students with navigating the campus and exploring the city.

We have a strong commitment to community support and student well-being, ensuring newcomers to Thunder Bay feel welcomed, safe, and supported as they embark on their educational journey.
